Pierrefonds Campus of Uniciti Education Hub welcomed the first markerspace lab of Mauritius, by Accenture. The lab, equipped with the latest technologies, inclusive of 12-core super computers, 3D printer, virtual reality headset and drone, provides for an appropriate working platform for students to develop innovative solutions around Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain or augmented reality. This first-of-its-kind lab to ever settle on a campus in Mauritius promotes innovation and everything has been designed around it. Computer science students of SUPINFO International University have already kicked off projects on campus around design thinking, as well as been involved in chat bot systems, applications powered by Kinect and simulations around augmented reality.
A lot more is in store over the next months, where students will be involved in specific projects of the Medine Group around these technologies and further on many other projects, engineered by Accenture.
There’s definitely a lot happening around innovation on campus!
