Ecole Centrale de Nantes admitted two new meritorious students who were offered scholarships by The Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd. Yoel Turner and Ryan Abel are the lucky beneficiaries this year, joining the other four scholarship-holders who are being sponsored by MCB since 2016. It’s indeed for the third consecutive year that MCB Ltd is offering scholarships to students who have successfully enrolled in Centrale Nantes, hence participating in the training of students into modern and all-round engineers. MCB has recently embarked in a massive digital transformation, which requires new talents and engineers, more so versatile resources who are problem-solvers and innovative in their approach.
The official signature ceremony took place last Monday on the Pierrefonds campus of Uniciti Education Hub, amidst selective guests gathered, of which Mr Alain Law Min, CEO of MCB Ltd, Mr Thierry Sauzier, CEO of the Medine Group, Mr Mike Sophie, Head of Human Resources of MCB Group, Mr Frederic Meslin, Director of Centrale Nantes in Mauritius and Mr Marc Desmarais, Head of Uniciti Education Hub.
“ I feel really relieved now and very enthusiastic about starting my Bachelor degree at Centrale Nantes, thanks to my sponsor. I have always wanted to go to France to enroll in a French Grande Ecole of Engineering, and now it’s become a reality. I am really excited, knowing more so that the third year takes place in Nantes itself in France.” says Yoel Turner.
